Dance involves the movement of the body in a pulsating manner, usually to music and within a given space. People generally dance for the purpose of releasing energy, expressing an emotion or simply taking delight in the sheer movement itself.
Dance burns calories, improves balance, strengthens muscles and increases flexibility, not to mention giving the heart a super workout. It has also been said that dance can assist with cognitive development.
